![]() Maybe the things I don’t like change for the better, but after a few hours of FUN games after years of content deprivation I hope it keeps improving and won’t be a “dying tide” scenario once the initial launch hype ends. However, just playing the game is a lot of fun. Do I like the monetization/battlepass? Hell no! I am having A LOT of fun playing Overwatch 2. It may either be my mind playing tricks or they actually changed the tick rate from some lowered setting they had in the beta or something? Idk, it just FEELS GOOD. I feel however like the controls are WAY smoother and not as “sticky” as they felt in beta. That being said: I played the (OW2) beta as well and expected “that” experience. At some point(s) it randomly kicked me out, but reconnecting was way faster (due to it being the middle of the night probably).Īnd I, also, am playing on the european servers, from germany like Nero. I kept waiting, eventually got in and could play. I mean imagine the fun we could have if this was a Multi-gazillian-dollar company that had this in the working for actual years. Thank god we found a fix for this ourselves before this tiny independent developer could reply or fix their servers. UPDATE: after 10-15 minutes of the “searching for game server” loop I actually reached the actual queue of 40.000… Thanks Activision-Blizzard, you did it, AGAIN! I had like 1% of my brain high on copium hoping you would not disappoint me today. Pals are playing, streamers are streaming, meanwhile little me, paying customer, is watching your gamba machine spit losses at me on the login? Now, 1 1/2 hours later it is done and whenever I try to log in it shows “in queue: 0 players ahead of you”, and after about a minute or so switches to: “searching for game server… game server connection failed, retrying.”. THEN it finished the hots update within seconds and started updating OW2 finally. However, today I noticed the update was “waiting on another installation” - I had to kill the update process because a hots update obviously was stuck, as it continued after reinstalling after killing the update. I bought the watchpoint pack to “make sure” I did what I could to play today. In the meantime though, why not check out this Overwatch 2 Ramattra guide to perfect the tank in-game.So I played OW1 a ton, basically daily for years. If you are trying to play at the start of a new event, it is likely that the servers themselves are at full capacity, so you will have to wait for them to die down in order to get back into the game. If none of the previous solutions have worked for you though, the unfortunate reality is that you will likely just have to wait for Blizzard to fix the issue themselves, as it is likely on their end. To do this, all you need to do is press the globe icon next to the game version tab and select a region different to your current one. You can also try changing your region in the Battlenet launcher to see if another server works for you. Running the game's executable file as administrator is also something that could also solve the problem, and is worth trying regardless because of how easy it is to do. ![]() coincidental idk but sure doesnt feel like it. The moment my connection to the servers are re-established is nearly always at the exact moment my current comp game is finished. My wifi connection is stable as i am still able to browse the internet and watch youtube while this issue is happening. It is also worth whitelisting Overwatch 2 in your antivirus software as that can also sometimes cause an issue with connecting to the internet. Now i just think they are doing it on purpose. This should hopefully clear - or at the very least diagnose - the problem on your end of things. One of the first things that you can do to try and solve the Overwatch 2 game server connection failure issue is to restart your PC and restart your router.
